But something bad starts to happen once the grinding process is done.

The tobacco/herbs start to dry out and they get drier and drier the longer they sit in the grinder.  Most people will leave at least 1/32 of a gram in the grinder and this equates to money lost because the dryness makes it extremely harsh in nature.

There is no way to maintain any moisture or proper humidity levels within the traditional grinder design.
