The Concept Was Simple
A modular slide system that can be used with any size joint male or female.
Then as with all my ideas, it began to grow in features and abilities. They call it feature creep. The process of trying to make something do it all…
You decide if we hit a Home Run or just a Base Hit.
This is how it works
It starts with the main body in a multitude of colors (eventually)
The main body can accept a variety of joint adapters, so choose one, attach it and it is ready for use. (eventually lots of color options)
You now have a choice of inserts for the lower section. The main and most used is the “Ash Can”. Drop this in and it will catch virtually all the ash before it gets into the water.
If you need a large capacity load, insert the cone on top of the “Ash Can” and now you have a traditional functioning slide.
If you desire a smaller load, then choose from one of the pre-measured “Bowl Mate” inserts, 1/4 gram, 1/2 gram or 3/4 grams and drop it in for use. When you’re done pull it out and replace it with another clean one, or clean that one if it’s been used for a while and has gotten dirty.
They also work great in large gatherings so you can have pre-filled inserts ready to go. Or have various types of tobacco in each one.
The tamper cap is used to extinguish the embers and to tamp the material down.
You would think that was enough Right? Well it wasn’t to me….
Next I designed the “O.C.” insert that would go into the main body and would allow for the use of other 14mm male accessories. It’s also designed like the “Ash Can”, so it can capture any oily residues that drip down before it contaminates the water. The residue will collect in the bottom of the capture tank and when full it can be easily removed. A cap then can be placed on the storage tank for later use and a clean empty capture tank is attached to the O.C. insert.
